colourful, creative
inspo comin’ in hot! 🌈✨

Oh hello you!

It’s so nice to be landing in your inbox for the first time in a long time (or maybe ever). The purpose of this monthly ‘hello’ is to fill you in on the month that was - all things from life in the studio to things my eyes, ears and soul has been loving! Overall, I hope to bring you some joy, inspiration and fun!

As you may have heard me talk about on socials, the start to my year has been BUSY! I struggled to keep up there for a lil while, but this new month was just the reset I think I needed. I feel re-energised and creatively inspired, but at the same time I feel grounded and stable. An important balance to meet.

I’m slowly reintroducing some of the (cliche, but cliche for a reason) self-carey things into my routine like regular meditation and journalling. I’ve also started to hang art on the walls of my new house and find some cool things on FB marketplace to get it feeling closer to the colourful, creative home I’d hoped for.

I've also joined Alison Rice’s beautiful Professional Development Community, Off— for this quarter, which you may have heard me talking about this week. Being in there has honestly felt like the big warm hug that I've been  needing. Working for yourself (as you may be very familiar with) can get pretty isolating sometimes. So it’s been so lovely to find a community of like-minded professionals, wanting to show up consciously to their businesses and workplaces.

Anyway, thanks for being here! Let’s get into the fun stuff!

How I Built This with Guy Raz

Episode: Headspace - Andy Puddicombe and Rich Pierson

I’m a BIG podcast listener. I’ve recently come back to How I Built This with Guy Raz. I’ve binged a few of his episodes recently, but an old episode that stuck out to me was his interview with Andy Puddicombe and Rich Pierson, Founders of the meditation app, Headspace. I find the stories behind some of the world’s largest business’ absolutely fascinating. The vision Andy and Rich had for their business, compared to what it actually turned out to be is inspirational. I believe they have played a big part in breaking down the stigma of meditation.

Listen to the episode here.

something i'm trying out

You may or may not have seen on my socials, but I just bought a tufting gun!!

Tufting is a fun new hobby I’ve taken up this year. I first began tufting completely by hand using a punch needle (think of this like the snail mail approach). But as I quickly became obsessed with this new creative outlet, I thought it would be rude not to treat myself to a gun so I can get through all the ideas that are currently living rent free in my head, a little quicker 🤪

Keep an eye on my Instagram to see how I go using the tufting gun!
